Venue
Main Building
The main building retains the original, charming look of a typical Brabant square farmhouse.
Inside, three accommodation units have been created, each with its own sleeping areas, showers, toilets, and common rooms. Every unit has its own color so that guests of all ages can easily find their way around.
From the central kitchen, guests are served delicious meals. Do you have special requests or dietary needs? Be sure to mention them when purchasing your ticket.
Ground Floor
From the cozy inner courtyard, you enter the spacious reception area with a stove. Also located on the ground floor are:
- the dining hall
- the kitchen
- restrooms
First Floor
The sleeping areas are located on the first floor and come in various sizes:
- 2 rooms for 10 people
- 7 rooms for 8 people
- 3 rooms for 6 people
- 3 rooms for 4 people
- 1 room for 2 people
We do not assign rooms in advance. If you indicate when buying your ticket that you prefer to sleep indoors, the room assignment will be random. See also ‘your overnight options’ on this page.
Your Overnight Options – Stay Close, Stay Comfortable
The Hall
Looking for comfort without missing out on nature? The main lodge offers cozy indoor accommodation in shared rooms for 4, 6, 8, or 10 people. It includes shared common areas and sanitary facilities. All conveniently located on the same floor. The lodge is perfect for those who want the ease and comfort of indoor accommodation while still being immersed in a natural setting. Surrounded by nature, yet sheltered and warm. This is the perfect place to rest and recharge after a full day of GATE activities.

Tent Area
Prefer sleeping under the stars? The tent field is there for those who crave a more adventurous experience. Set up your own tent and enjoy the fresh air, with access to nearby toilets and showers to keep things comfortable. It’s a great option for those who love the outdoors but still want essential facilities close by.
There is space for caravans, with a maximum of 10. No chemical toilet is available
Near the campsite, there are two sanitary blocks.
Each sanitary block has 14 toilets and 14 hot showers. Outside, there are taps with drinking water.
Washing-up facilities are not available at these sanitary blocks.
It is possible to connect to electricity. You will need a cable of up to 100 meters with a thickness of 2.5 mm². Longer cables are not allowed for safety reasons.


Scenes from De Kluis
If you can, we kindly encourage you to use public transport or carpooling, as parking is limited. However, if you do choose to come by car, please set your GPS to “De Kluis 1, 3051 Sint-Joris-Weert”. For a smoother arrival, you can also enter “Polderstraat” in your GPS. At the end of this street, you will find the parking lot.

How to Get There from Brussels Airport
There are several ways to travel from Brussels Airport (Zaventem) to De Kluis:
🚆 By Train
- From Brussels Airport, take a train to Leuven (±15 minutes).
- Transfer to a local train from Leuven to Sint-Joris-Weert (±10 minutes).
- From Sint-Joris-Weert station, it’s about a 2 km walk through nature to reach De Kluis.
🚌 By Bus
- Take bus line 79 from Leuven Station (Platform 14) to Sint-Joris-Weert Station (±30 minutes).
- Walk the final 2 km to the venue.
Coming from the station, turn right. At the level crossing, turn right again, and take the first street (Molenstraat) on the right. Follow this street until you reach Polderstraat on your left. Turn left here, and then it’s straight ahead.
🚲 By Bike
Leuven is a bike-friendly city with multiple rental options. From Leuven station, it’s a 9 km scenic ride through the forest to De Kluis.
Bike rental options in Leuven:
- Fietspunt Leuven Station – Convenient daily bike rentals right at the train station.
- Blue-bike – Self-service shared bikes available at Leuven station (membership required).
